06 Oct MUV at CIVITAS Forum 2017
The 15th edition of the CIVITAS Forum took place in the tiny and nice city of Torres Vedras (Portugal) from 27 to 29 September. This annual event brings together hundreds of mobility experts, researchers and stakeholders from across Europe to share projects and initiatives happening in their cities. It was a great opportunity for MUV project to be presented for the first time to a wide audience and explore potential collaborations with similar initiatives.
The project coordinator PUSH took part to the initiative together with Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, responsible for the project Evaluation and Sustainability and LUCA School of Arts, leading the Communication activities.
The project was presented during the following two sessions: CIVITAS 2020 Coordinator’s meeting on September 27th where interactive activities such as speed datings and needs assessment exercises with other CIVITAS projects’ coordinators fostered networking and exchange of experiences and results; The neighbourhood promise – Wishful thinking or breakthrough approach? on September 29th where partners involved in the ‘sister projects’ funded by the MG-4.5-2016 had the chance to debate pros and cons of the implementation of their mobility solutions at a neighbourhood scale.
The whole conference agenda was rich of seminars, workshops, site visits as well as entertainment moments outside the venue Centro Social Paroquial located in the city centre.
The event concluded on September 29th with a closing plenary including announcement of the location of the Forum 2018: Umeå in Sweden.
